Terms of Service

Clear expectations for a careful backup tool.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using HammyBackup, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What HammyBackup provides

HammyBackup helps copy eligible photos and videos from an iPhone to a compatible NAS/SMB destination or Google Drive, verify backup results, and present user-controlled cleanup options. Features may vary by device, operating system, destination, network, and account configuration.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Use destinations and accounts you are authorized to access.
  • Maintain adequate storage, network availability, credentials, and destination security.
  • Review backup and verification results before deleting any original.
  • Keep at least one independent backup of important data.
  • Comply with applicable laws and third-party service terms.

4. Cleanup and deletion

Deletion is permanent. Verification reduces risk but cannot eliminate hardware failure, account changes, network errors, service outages, or user mistakes. You are responsible for confirming that your backup is complete and usable before approving cleanup.

5. Third-party services

Google Drive, Apple Photos, iCloud, NAS devices, SMB servers, networks, and operating-system services are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. HammyBackup does not control their availability or behavior.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use HammyBackup to access systems without permission, violate rights, distribute unlawful material, interfere with services, or bypass security measures.

7. Intellectual property

HammyBackup, its software, visual identity, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the app as distributed.

8. Availability and warranties

The app is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every destination, or that every form of data loss can be prevented.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary losses arising from use of the app, including lost data, lost access, or destination failure. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to support@hammybackup.fingull.com.
